Hi mate.... i hope ur sorted if not try ur spare key. Think really simple and just try it. Younger brother's car had same problem. I spent few days on it to realise the key is naked. The chip was faulty and could not de-imm9bilise. Try that and report back and see how we can help

there's a yellow relay at the front of the fuse box under the bonnet or the UEC as it's knowing that's your starter relay bridge the two pins 6pm and 12pm lol and see if it cranks over if it does then you need either a relay or try pushing down on the fuse box and then try starting it

Did you fix this? I have exactly the same problem

whats exactly happening with it louisec?
Just got in it one morning and turned the key, nothing happened. Thought I might have left a light on so tried jump starting -nothing. Tried bump start. - nothing.
Took it to a garage and there is nothing wrong with battery, starter motor, key chip. They have said it's electrical. It's cost me £200 in labour for them to tell me that and am no closer to fixing it :(

you would of saved money by taking it too the local vauxhall dealer, i work in a vauxhall dealership and 9/10 we end up being the last resort and end up being cheaper too diagnose the fault, it wouldnt of cost you 200+vat so far and still not fixed. it sounds like they dont know what is wrong with it.

you need too find out if they have ran a communication check on the vehicle for any trouble codes, if they have what are they? as this will be the 1st step too point you in the direction of the fault for non start.

I think it did flash but not sure it was continuously.
It's still at the garage as they are awaiting my next move
Also, I have felt that since I've owned it (approx 4 weeks) that it hasn't performed as well as I'd expected. I don't seem to be getting very good mpg and it's very sluggish. I had it serviced but could this be related?

It has about 7 fault codes. Can't remember what they are now. I'll post more when I get the info

Hmm not heard this one before but im not a lover of vauxhalls lol must be a safety feature on the car with it being brakes related etc.
Daughters salon partner had a fault with her hyundai car and it wouldnt start it turned out to be a very slight leak on the rear brake caliper and the master cylinder has a level sensor switch fitted so when the brake fluid level drops below this it triggers a immobiliser in the ecu to stop the car from being driven etc.
