Any installer in Northamptonshire aera?

Hi again, I had a nice little set up done by myself a 80cm dish with a monoblock LNB picking up 19.2 and 13, it worked great until it rained so I thought id just buy a 1m dish and do the swap and bingo!

However i've managed to completly mess it up by tring to install 3 single LNBs to pick up 19/13/28

I have even tried to put it all back to how it was origonally with the monoblock LNB both on the 1m and the 80cm but must have been dumb luck last time because I cant get it to work and ive been trying for 3 days.

Anyone know anyone? Cheers

I had that bracket on a standard sky 65cm
It needed modding and I placed the 19 right in the middle. To get it better lined up
Motor is better mind

This was the bracket and l.n.bs i used on 80
Cm dish

I live in a valley near the bottom and the wind is terrible down here, I have watched the dish when it is bad and I recon it sways 8'' or so. Dish is on a pole 6' away from the building so a smaller dish with 2 lnb 28e and 19 will do me and will reduce the problem.

I gave up messing about with a monoblock years ago and just put a scaffold pole up in the garden and bought a metre and a 1m dish and setup a motorised system, also put a sly dish on it, as woody previously said i'm getting too old to climb ladders.

I have been told motors are a thing of the past and to get rid of all my shitty dishes and 80cm triax motorised and stick with 1 m dish and multiple lnbs.
@Abu Baniaz suggested months ago to get system sorted and less issues as with too many variables.

Thats very true Good practice to install motorisied system frim time to time

This would be good multi l.n.b set up

Chances are after all the OPs aggro he will find it is/was a damaged cable or water ingress after the shower of rain.

You had a setup where a multiple lnb on a motorsied dish was being used by two different receivers. There is nothing wrong with a motorised dish, but obviously has to be used properly.

Monoblock LNBs are in essence two LNBs with a built in diseqc switch. They designed for a specifc satellite dish size. The further you get away from the center the further apart they need to be. You can do this with the a slider rail, but a monoblock lnb.

The best setup is a motorised dish as well as a multi lnb dish.

How did you get on?
I actually did it and it's now as good as it can be. The 1m dish did not seem compatible with a mono block so put the 80 back up and aligned it to hotbird with full signal on some channels. 19 just was there by default again with full signal on some channels. The previous poster was correct satellite installation is a patience game

Thats it, perseverence goes a long way, I have had a motorised system for 14 years now, in 2 different houses that I have lived in, my previous house I got sats from 1W to 39e hellas sat, but in my current home I pick up 1w up to 28e, anything further wont scan in, I set up in here 8 years ago and I spent near enough a week trying to get the same set up as my old house, but it just wasnt happening, so I settled for what I have now, mostly just use 1w and 19e anyway, so not too bad, the mrs gives me grief because of the big white dish at one side and a standard sky dish at the other end of the house, but I am never going to take them down, while there is some sort of c/s still going on.

Too right mate! Mrs also gives me grief about dishes both on the house and in the sink, also moans about my tools laying all over the house and building materials stored everywhere..... I dont understand what the problem is? but no im with you i shant be taking any dishes down now:laughing:
