SKY -> FreeSat

After a bit of research, know about the Q-box dish/LNB issue etc. and considered he Humax HDR-1100S or HB-1100S boxes which seems like the obvious easy 'go to' position but the EPG/GUIs seem really clunky and slow and despite being an (some would say sucker) Apple user don't want to be locked into their software locked down systems thus was thinking of the Zgemma range, firstly thought about the newer H9.2S but after reading around now considering the H7C over this.

I know you can still easily get Virgin and Sky is near on impossible now but I guess my thoughts are around purely free to air FREESAT and once the plug-in's and EPG are installed is much tinkering required. Bear in mind I only really want to venture into FTA Freesat and use recording facilites!?!?

Wouls you still be able to use Slyk? or a version Freesats menus from the Humax boxes. We eat with our eyes afterall ;)

If it's FreeSat you're looking at then the H7S has 2 satellite tuners whereas the H7C has only 1.
They are an excellent FreeSat box. All the builds on TK have 'Sky style' epg included.

Awesome, yea the skins look great!!!

Any reason why I wouldn't opt for the cheaper H9.2S over the 7?
