100% Noob - A couple of basic questions

Hi guys,

cheers for reading this firstly. My friend has a 'professionally'-installed vu+ solo, all working,

I've just received my Vu+ solo 2 box and am attempting to get it set up.

First question; image, a little torn between black hole or vix, a lot of mixed reviews all over the internet. How would i go about seeing which image or firmware is already installed on my friends box? (ie. windows computer: my computer > properties = operating system)

Secondly; is there a way we can find out the details of my friends sattelite server (cline flines??) from his box, so that i can use them on my own, basically sharing his server? Is this possible? Is it abit naughty to do so (apologies for asking if so).

Any advice would be appreciated,

firstly need to know if you bought a clone or from a known source seller of sat equipment.
to see if its a vix menu-info-about

dont use his line get your own as he will be banned
