12v permanent live from Volvo V40 fuse box

Hi everyone,
I would like to install a 12v permanent live feed direct from the fuse box to a new cigarette lighter socket so as to power my Mio Mivue dash cam parking mode, I would be very grateful for any information regarding the right size cable to use and also the size of fuse.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

do you use your present cigarette lighter?if not just use that socket.if you do use it just tee off of it to power your cam.

The cigarette lighter socket is switched live and it is placed in the storage box under the armrest, my car is aVolvo V40 and there is a small tray behind the centre console out of view and only a couple of feet from the fuse box and I would like to put it there.

Its VERY fiddly trying to access the existing lighter socket, much easier to go to the fuse box.
