As it`s a 4K box shouldn`t it output 4K resolution?
In the video settings the UHD option goes no farther than 1080p, what about 2160p??

however that said superb picture on the NASA 4K channel on Hotbird

very little 4k content is available without downloading it, 1080 is best that Sly supply via the sat cable & VM 2160 max on the VM cable, 4k content is normally sent via your net connection rather than the physical feed to the property, the best we can get from our 4k boxes is a 1080 or 2160 source upscaled by the box to gain a better image, however IF you do manage to find any true 4k content it does look amaizing!

What firmware

I know atv doesn’t do it straight out of the box

But also depends on what hdmi you have it plugged in to too on your tv

I posted about this before but was told it’s a none problem as there is no content

As you say on Euro sat
You can get
NASA
Fashion
QVC

All in 4K

But I noticed the video is 4K but the box will show it as 1080p out of the box

Yes, this is what i mean, if you look on pages 5 and 6 of the manual it states H.265 --- 2160p 60fps

Also theres a TravelXP and Pearl 4k channels as well but i don`t seem to get others that are scrambled (i do have a multisat line though)

If 2160p isn’t showing up
Then your tv isn’t setup to take the 2160p signal for a start
So once that is done you need to setup the box to show 2160p to show at 2160p
If not it will show at 1080p or 720p
