5G

Has anyone tried it, and if so, is there any real noticeable difference for the average user?
I know it's considerably faster regarding the downloading of seriously large files, but how many people do this?
Also the latency is supposedly 3-5ms as opposed to 15-20 home broadband, and 30-40 4G.

But is it really necessary, or like a car that can do 0-60 that little bit quicker ffs lol

I've been wondering this too. There must be a certain point where it reaches the most noticeably high speed the human brain can comprehend, so where is that point...?

I get the feeling it's getting like the difference between car's that can do 130mph and a new model can can exceed 200. There's no real need for it (unless you're looking to kill yourself lol)

Would you need 5G for 8K UHD?

I work in cardiff city centre and they have in in st davids shopping centre which is just over the road. Like driving an F1 car 5G or a Ford escort 4G

F1 cars aren't really for general road driver's lol. Apart from looking/ sounding cool, you couldn't really make use of it's power down St Mary's street

My 20 ton excavator is the F1 of diggers and i cam make great use of that in St mary street or as close to it Spoons will be open soon as get an hour to have a few wets before my train comes :mask:

Be a while before 5G is fully rolled out across UK. Dont even think some people even made use of 4G. Not sure of speeds but guessing with 5G probably more than 1GB/S

Lets hope more 5G mobile masts dont get destroyed for various reasons :sneaky:

Don't spend money on 5G smartphones, at least not yet. This is expensive, but unstable connectivity does not allow you to benefit from fifth-generation networks.
