I think this stuff is absolutely fabulous.
Prompted by Ally's post, I decided to delve a little further, so here is a bit of background to that video.

Playing for Change is a multimedia music project created by producer Mark Johnson and his Timeless Media Group, that seeks to bring together musicians from around the world. Playing For Change also created a separate non-profit organization called the Playing For Change Foundation which builds music schools for children around the world.
The project's Stand by Me video has been tremendously popular online, with over 10 million hits on Youtube.
Among the artists participating, or openly involved in the project include Vusi Mahlasela, Louis Mhlanga, Clarence Bekker, Tal Ben Ari (Tula), Bono, Keb' Mo', Grandpa Elliot...
Playing For Change: Songs Around The World was released in 2009 in the form of a CD/DVD compilation on the Concord Music Group label.
