Hello, I've been reading the posts on this forum for a couple of weeks now and it all sounds very interesting. I current have an Openbox V8S which came with a gift deal and even though its been fine for the last few months and still is fine i think i'm ready for something with a bit more to it and especially a decent EPG!! My plan is to buy a Star 2S, flash one of the custom firmwares from this forum and source my own subscription.
If i go down the route of doing it myself where is the best place to buy a standard box from? i have seen a link to MobiShop on here but that's been unavailable every time i've checked, i've also seen them on eBay for just under £80 but they say that they come pre-installed with open-vix or openPli is that the standard?
I'll have plenty more to ask no doubt but first of all i need to have one in my hands, i have seen them on Facebook for £140 all set up plug & play but i think i want to tinker with it myself and learn a bit about it.
