A780 freezing on sw update

Hi All,

having problems with my father in laws kryptview, i believe i need to update the sw on the box but everytime i try the box freezes, the internet connection is working, as can get weather + traffic reports

Any help appreciated

power off box modem and router for 30 secs then on ,give it a min then try,box is connected by cable and not wifi.

What are the problems.?

What firmware is on the box.? Menu-System Info---what date.?

Unlikely to be the firmware as Nov.2011 still works with April 2012
