A790T - remote control needed & channel glitch

Hi, probably an easy yes on this one...but I need a new remote for my KA790T. Should I just get a one for the A780? Are they compatible?

I read on here that the A790T is an Irish version of the A780, so am I right in assuming so? Any ideas where the best place to get one is?

Also I've an issue with the up/down channel button on the front of the box. Where it used to work fine it now jumps random numbers (but seems to remember where they are)...for example pressing the channel +/- to move each channel to view by 1 goes something like this: 702,703,1008,333,704 etc.
It never used to do this and just begun doing it today. I can't test it with a remote as I killed the last one. A power off/rest doesn't fix it. It was flashed around a year ago.

Thanks for any tips!;)

i can confirm that the remote control for KV A780 and the A790T are compatible got the A790T myself and had several remote controls used with it mainly testing them for other which have the A780 before i sell it on to them. they are on ebay for around £15 last time i looked for exact same as current broken model. However there are kryptview arnet remote controls for older versions of KV boxs which are around £5 i think certainly cheaper anyway and have all the same buttons more of a square shape and bulkier but does the same job. 👍

as for channels skipping i would think this would be perfectly normal as there will be nothing on the channel numbers its skipping and therefore it just skips.

but if in doubt when you have a new remote run update from system menu , factory reset and rescan :smoke rings:

yes flashed a year ago would mean not having the latest s/w update, missing a few channels i will bet,as said do the update first then factory reset, make sure you are scanning from the main feed and no splitters or extensions to lose signal strength, scan with lan removed, insert after the scan insert lan ,and if needed reboot box, modem and router as in off for 30 secs then on.
