Acceptable ECM timing?

As my current provider has gone down, looking for a new one and trying a few out. Could someone tell me what an acceptable ECM msec time is to avoid any sort of glitching? The one I’m trying just now is c.500-600msec

If the quality of the picture is good with little or no freezing then that is all you need to know.

ECM times can be misleading. People often used to compare sky ECM to virgin and it literally demonstrated nothing in terms of quality.

as has been mentioned, ECM's on satellite made a difference, on Virgin it doesn't,
