Air filter miles

Hi, looking at the two airfilters, would anyone like to have a guess at when they were last changed (aproximate milage since last service )(just for fun, no prizes)

at last major service, depends on how you drive, where you live & how often used so it could be anything from 3month if daily town driving to 12m+ occasional use

Thanks for the replies.
The car is a jaguar xf 3.0 v6 which has two airfilters (both on show), now, I don't know much about car engines, but considering I paid for a full service at the end of February (2000 miles ago) and they (supposedly) changed the filters, I thought that they would look identical in how dirty they are! Or am I missing something (other than a load of cash for the service)
Any advice.
Thanks Stu

Old stock new stock and not the same filter as now showing left and right, maybe one side gets more crap sucked up but thought both would be equally dirty.

What did invoice say was done.

It was a second service and a long checklist of jobs which had to be carried out, one being replace the air filters.

Well looking at the particle build up on the one on the right it clearly has not been changed in a while  i did a service on a 1979 mk2 escort that had been sat in mates garage for 12 years and that filter looked cleaner than the one in your picture.
Sadly we still live in a world where garages will cut corners to maximise profits etc.
A big high street garage chain a few years ago were charging £35 for oil and filter change and were not using a new oil filter and they got away with it for years until finally Trading standards got involved.
On a side note a lot of people dont realise is you can ask for the old parts off your car during repairs to check what has been done etc.
Before all you budding mechanics out there jump on my case Yes there are a lot of genuine independant garages out there that do a cracking job on vehicles and save a lot of people lots of money compared to Main dealers etc.
