Can Anyone Help Me Please?

I need to alter the com ports on my laptop which is run on vista...

I've opened the device manager and according to the help I should double click ports (Com & Lpt) unfortunately this is not an option as I can't find ports anywhere, Even after I altered the view to show hidden devices... :bang head:

Please help me if you can...

Much Appreciated & Thanks For Your Time!

If you open up device manager TRUE BLOOD, and plug the USB to Serial adapter in, the Com & LPT option will appear. It will not be there otherwise.

# Open Windows Device Manager, contained in the Hardware and Sound section of the Windows Vista Control Panel
# In Device Manager, Open the Ports section
# Plug in your device download cable/cradle to your computer
# Double click on the Usb to Serial Comm Port that appears after plugging in the device download cable/cradle to your computer
# Click the Advanced button in the winodw that appears
# Open the COM Port Number menu and make sure a vlaue of 16 or lower is selected. If a value greater than 16 is selected, change it to an available number less than 16, then click OK

Once you change the com port Windows has assigned to the cradle to a number less than 16, you should be able to follow the normal download steps successfully:
