Amiko A6 no sound on new films?

Got the box for a mate up in Scotland a year ago. All was ok but he's said some new films have no sound?
I know magbox 322 or 256 had this issue, but the A6N is android based.

Is this a known issue? He just has a normal tv with no soundbar.
I am thinking he can maybe install vlc media player and set it to play vod via that player?

That is most likely going to work mate.

Most apps are better running on an external player for VOD

Shouldn’t be an issue playing issues with no sound as the a6 can handle everything as I use one upstairs and no issues with my vod as most vod is mkv file the mag box defiantly won’t handle vod as it’s a different codec altogether.
Have you checked to see if a beta update for your box

I have advised him to check for updates and install vlc and use that as default movie player.

The amiko gives you choice of 2 players on the box
