Have a few boxes need to connect up to view and had gotten a fresh install setup on both , went browsing thru the apps and shows and found 5 streams for the movie.
Stream 1 chinese porn film nope wrong action censored and stop starting issues and box is hard wired ??
Stream 2 might have been a cold war movie.
Stream 3 looked like an american show but kid was speaking german 🤣
Stream 4 fell asleep as no action.

Might move second box up for router connection for checking out.

Hello cactikid, how's things pal? .... All OK I hope. I also have been tinkering around with my boxes.
Check your firmware is up to date. I think simplicity is best.
What I've done is this.. Ugoos AM6 plus = factory firmware with dns changed to block ads .
Installed the best media players (VLC/MxPlayer Pro?
Then i just installed the bare minimum of adfree movie apks (mod) such as filmplus, cinema , viva, beetv and novatv and the IPTV app XCIPTV (never use anything else as it just clutter).

Done this with the xiaomi Mibox too and works better without hundreds of unused apks.

Also use a mod vpn and a background process killer/task manager
