hey guys

i keep getting constant glitching on my kv box, through out the day...
i have only subscribed to vm broadband service and i have a splitter

i never had this problem on my previous router from vm, but since the upgrade its a regular occurance

can i contact vm to give me my old modem back?

is there a setting perhaps (net setting) i need to configure..

i hope you can assist/

I very much doubt that your router is the problem wakkaday although it is not out of the question.

Is your normal Internet on computer working OK?

Do you get the glitching on all channels?

Do the terrestrial channels glitch?

Have you checked your coaxial connections are clean and connected snugly to box, router, and splitter?

Have you tried swapping the coaxial wires over on the splitter? ie put the one from the kryptview on the splitter connection that is currently attached to the superhub and vica versa

I am not at home at present to see if there is a problem in the Teesside area, hopefuly someone will answer from the Birmingham area.

jodav :)

If you have a 30MB + broadband package then its essential for you to have the Virgin Media Superhub as you won't be able to get this kind of speed from the older modems.

Have you tried resetting your virgin media superhub?

Do the terrestrial channels glitch? Yes (or they don't show)

Have you checked your coaxial connections are clean and connected snugly to box, router, and splitter? ( i have they seem fine, but maybe they need replacing?)

Have you tried swapping the coaxial wires over on the splitter? ie put the one from the kryptview on the splitter connection that is currently attached to the superhub and vica versa (yep its still the same)

it seems to be worse in the evening, but i guess its intermittent at any time really... i have tried disconnecting the wireless totally but its still the same..

If the terrestrial channels glitch then you can eliminate the router as the problem as these do not use the Net. It looks like you have maybe a bad termination between the coaxial and f connector possibly on the main feed if you tried swapping the short ones over (but then again if it worked OK in the past it should be OK). Or maybe a bad splitter. I would probably try and get hold of a decent splitter first before buying some new\a new f connectors and re-terminating.

I am surmizing you have done a S\W update to the latest firmware.

im going to try a new splitter i think..its so annoying this
is the f connector the main white cable lead?
thanks for your help, when i update i dont get all the channels and i get glitching. im not even getting terrestial channels now..

I have had issues recently in the Watford area, but normal channels are working fine just the others that seem to be glitching a lot

mines been like this for a over a month? its annoying, because when i scan i lose channels and sometimes gain some, but it wasnt working this morning so i rescanned now im not getting all the channels

im not sure if its a cable splitter issue?
