Hi,

I am looking for opinions on the best device at the moment for running Kodi for around the 50 euro mark.

What is the best value device on the market that can run Kodi flawlessly?

Fire Stick - approx 50 euro
Raspberry Pi - approx 50 euro
Inphic Spot i7 - approx 50 euro

What's your thoughts?

My vote goes to the Raspberry Pi2 way faster than the Firestick if you install the Openelec build never had a spot i7 so no idea

Openelc is just a branched of version of Kodi you could always use OSMC as well if you preferred, you can install Android on the Pi so take your choice

How easy is the Pi2 to configure? I have seen a few people mention these on the forum and when I have looked at them online they seem difficult to use/ set up.
I got a firestick we use in another room but debating whether to get another streaming device to satisfy whole family. Does it need Ethernet connectivity or wireless?

Has ethernet support built in but no wireless but does have 4 usb ports so a dongle is easy to configure if you so wish

The Pi is the easiest thing to set up, I put OSMC on mine running Kodi 16. Just download os to lappy/pc, format your sd card, and run the downloaded os, which installs to your sd card, put your sd into the PI, plug in your HDMI lead, keyboard and plug in power supply cable and away you go. Takes a few minutes to boot, then it takes you through your language, time etc and then your done. I always change my view to
Classic before I exit. Then it will take you to the KODI main screen, then just google Kodi addons and away you go, TV Series, Movies, Sports etc.

You can either put the addons yourself of go for the Ares installer, which has about 30 builds on it. again google it as I can't add the link,

It really is that easy.
