Hi all, could someone please tell me agood signal booster to get for my kva780 please ?

I have a constant signal level at 56 which i know is to low so i have had vermin out twice now who say i am getting correct signal for my tv an bb.

Have checked all feeds and tightened but it just wont go above 56 so this is my last hope of getting missing channels back.

If any of you are currently using a signal booster could you tell me where to purchase one and details of how to set it up.

Thx for your reply do you have any in mind as i wouldnt want to get something thats not up to the job.
 
Changing the splitter may do the trick.

Try connecting the KV box direct to the wall socket then check the signal strength
 
Thx for reply guys. Right firstly i have one splitter and have just noticed that when i turn my box on i have a signal of 88 and after a couple of mins it drops to 56. Does this mean i need a booster ? Am guessing it does and if so which one would you reccomend ?
This is with direct feed with no splitter and with the splitter by the way.
 
mine used to be the same around 58, i brought a boster from maplins now its 78+, ive still got some channels missing like cactikid said, but a boster will defo make signal beter
 
I am experiencing scrambled or no video problems more times than I care to mention.
From info screen for today e.g. FX channel S=77 Q=93
Last night I was able to watch ESPN with very little errors but this morn it has returned with a vengance.

Before I fork out £25x2 or £13x2 (whichever is better) can someone please confirm that these amplifier/boosters
actually work and that they will help alleviate my problem?

Unlikely you need a booster for the feed,KV boxes on all firmwares are going on and off but have a look at your splitter.
 
your readings above are good enough 77 and 93? maybe a little high,have you got the last firmware update and factory reset and rescanned and rebooted box modem and router,i have seen a few people with router issues causing problems.
 
Hi yeah have done all that but with the problems everyone is experiencing this morning
including myself(everything went down about 2am this morning) I will hold fire until
all (hopefully) is up and running again.
 
yes posted on all forums people did say boxes had gone funny,upgrading stuff again,so wait and see time again.
