Cable box freezing

hi
just wondered if anyone is having an issue with there h1 box that has recently started on mine.
the box will freeze and i will need to re boot it. but every time i reboot and select any channel either FTA or otherwise
the channel will come for a second then go off and the box will freeze again, my TV then shows no signal.
this will happen several times before the channel will finally start to work again. could this be a hardware issue or
possible image issue.

using sucmnsee image with a vm skin and cable.

yeah, dont think its a cable issue as the channel comes on for a second then the whole screen goes black the box becomes unresponsive and i have to turn it on and off again with the button on the back, the remote wont do it. the tv also shows no signal message which means its no longer receiving a signal from the box itself.

starting to think i may have a faulty box.
 
I have this exact problem but started when I added a sat feed had cable working fine.

I've trouble shot this and seems mgcamd was causing it , so deleted and reinstalled and turned of the sat tuner.

Box does not lock up now but really wanted the sat side to work too.

Are you using mgcamd ?
 
thanks for the response, im using cable tuner only with ccam, mgcamd is disabled. been like that since set up weeks ago. should i try
reinstalling?
