British Horseracing Authority announce sport will take place behind closed doors due to coronavirus outbreak

Seems a sensible move, keeps the sport alive. I'm guessing bookies have offered to replace the revenues from spectators.

The prize money comes from the race sponsor.
Each race has a name like, 'The McCain Oven Chips and Stakes' this is who's putting the money up

That's my thoughts... a hell of a lot of travelling and potentially exposing staff to increased risks.

I have also heard that the animals can have the virus as well (I don't know if it's true or not, but let's suppose it is) so people will just spread the virus that the animals got or the animals give the virus to staff... I don't know if this is a good idea.
