Can I just ask

I just wanted to know if others are the same or if I have something just not tweaked correct in the settings
When I am watching a channel and then decide to change and press favourites my screen goes black other than the in tv box showing what I was watching for 2or3 seconds before bringing up the menu now I know it maybe sounds petty but just wanted make sure others did the same or if o can change something to stop this

Your display may be set to automatic...go to

Menu - Setup - System - a/v settings....check automatic resolution is disabled...set mode to 720p or 1080p

No doesnr happen to me like mention have a look at your resolution.
It best to be 1080i for sky though not p

Checked that and it was already disabled and on 1080i but still the same

This is still doing this do you think it is just waiting for the hdd to fire up hence me getting the black screen ?

Only way to try is attach a flash drive and set the EPG to save there see if it loads quicker

Yeah are you using Open ATV ?
I think open vix has trouble working with SD cards

Pop it in to see if it initialises if it does then save your EPG data to that

It is strange cos I checked on recognised devices and it doesn't list the sd card but timeshift is set to save to it and it works fine so not sure
