Cant get line to load on OpenATV 5.3 on a Mutant HD51

Newbie
Ok so I am new to all this and this is my first box. I have setup the Mutant HD51 with OpenATV 5.3 and went through a number of guides to set it up. All straight forward enough. No issues sending files using FTP or installing any IPKs.

The trouble I am having is getting the box to start mgcamd so it will see my test line. I have installed Softcam and from there I was able to install mgcamd_1.38 from the plugins folder. When I go into Softcam Panel V2 - Select Cam 1 and change it from no cam --> mgcamd_1.38 and then press the GREEN button to Start a screen comes up saying starting cam for a few seconds and then back to the Soft Panel screen with no CAM 1 active.

I am at the two days now at this stage and I am cracking up. Any help please

Which one. Just looking at the Softcam section now and I have Oscam ATV, Oscam ATV EMU, Oscam ATV Ymod and Oscam-depponmod?

Also do I just convert the newcamd.list file to oscam.server?

Tried all of the Oscam and still none will start. I put the oscam.server file in /etc/tuxbox/config

Menu, plugins, remove plugins, go to softcams and remove the ones you don't want, will need to do one at a time

Removed all of them rebooted, installed oscam atv, rebooted and tried to start cam1 oscam atv. Still not working

Have you entered your details like on post 45 on the link I posted?
In Usr/Keys and not tuxbox as tuxbox is vix?

The Softcam I installed was this one softcam-feed-mipsel_1.0_all.ipk

I am reflashing the box now and starting from scratch and try install Oscam ATV again and see what happens

Its not the softcam feed, as you said earlier that you put your config in tuxbox, that won't work as thats vix
Config is already in Usr/keys when you download oscam_atv, just edit it like I said on the thread I linked, using port :83 to get to the web interface to edit oscam.server.

Havent got that far.

Bring up softcam manager once oscam is downloaded and make cam 1 oscam, no other cam to be selected, so only one cam running. MAKE SURE YOU STOP ALL OTHER RUNNING CAMS, now restart oscam via softcam manager, it should restart without error if applied ok and will show as active. It must be restarted to allow access to the webinterface.

Cant get it to start. Just reflashed the box. Installed Softcam via FTP. Installed Oscam ATV from the plugin menu. Rebooted. Went back to Softcam Panel and tried to start Oscam ATV on Cam1 and no go

Every time I press the GREEN button to start it comes up with a screen saying Creating start scripts and starting cam and a count down

Never though it would be this hard to setup

Won't it start? Are there any other cams running? Is TSPanel installed on the box? What error do you get?

How do you know its not running? Does it fault on start as mine does a countdown too when starting, but no other messages, just starting oscam and a countdown mine does.
Can you access the web interface on port :83 ?

TSPanel is not installed. Just done a complete reflash with OpenATV. Only thing installed on the box is Softcam and Oscam ATV 1.2 11214. No errors that I can see

Have you tried to access the web interface on port :83?
As it might be running and needs your details entered?

Yes tried that and getting error. It will connect to OpenWebif

This site can’t be reached

192.168.1.13 refused to connect.

Tried Chrome originally and now onto Internet Explorer. Tried it with HTTP and HTTPS

Wondering should I flash with OpenPli and try that instead?

Lol
I was going to tell you to remove tspanel as that can interfere with oscam.
I use chrome but other browsers can struggle, it works on these boxes with ATV as others have it running, I would reboot your router too and homeplugs if used.
Or go to Usr/keys with filezilla, find oscam_atv and find oscam_server, delete all the example readers and paste in yours, save and restart oscam.

I restarted router, homeplugs and the box.
Only files in Usr/Keys is oscam.server and Oscam_atv folder
in the Oscam_atv folder there is Oscam.conf, Oscam.dvbapi, Oscam.server, Oscam.srvid and Oscam.user. Will I delete these or leave them?
