Car insurance is pathetic, it's merry go round of customers having to leave to get the same price premiums.

Mainly new drivers that causes insurance to go up imo as no soon as they pass they think their boy racers.
I remember my nice passing her test and wanted 1k upfront for her insurance ffs

Insurance generally is a joke most of the time especially when it comes to cars.

Renewal quotes always higer I find than previous years. Not by much but still a bit high for my liking.

Thats where comparison sites are useful then you know which company offers the best prices and just jump ship.

My old peugeot and now avensis (dads car) were and are very decent for the most part with the insurance.

I don't really mind what insurance companies charge young people, that's high based on acceptable factors like them being crap drivers, driving faster than they're competent to, doing more unnecessary miles.

I don't think my premium should increase by 30% after a years trouble free motoring with an insurer.

I think that it was very unfair when they changed the rules a few years back so that women could no longer get cheaper insurance than men, even though statistically they caused and were involved in fewer accidents and the accidents they were involved in usually had less damage.

I got quoted for £99,999 for a mitsubishi Colt, made me chuckle.
Maybe they thought that you were an MP and could put it on your expenses, it's always worth a try as just think of the commission they would get if they had sold you a policy at that price.

Get a policy with black box requirement
Buy and old banger that can't go fast
add old person with many years driving experience, ie mummy or daddy, as a named driver (NOT the main driver)
DONT CRASH

all shoulld reduce cost for youngsters, if all above fail, then walk everywhere

Got a mate who only today realised that NCB can’t be shared on 2 different vehicles. Hes a flooring fitter so has a seperate work car and a seperate car him and his wife share and he’s been using his ncb on 2 different policies on both vehicles for years. Now the question is why haven’t any of the insurers picked up on this.

They will do when he tries making a claim.

Yep emptied 30+ years of garage tools into them ,roll cab needs a roll on trailer to shift home, one box diagnostics and laptops and need to see what data needs updating.
Did have to keep speed down to 6okmph  was that a 30kmph sign i missed:LOL:

Dont always rely on comparison sites there is a lot of independant brokers aswell.
A higher excess can also bring down the price of your quote aswell.
And dont even get me started on postcode quotes variations ffs whats that all about ??
Let me enlighten you!!
You live on a street where there as been several insurance claims due to accidents and guess what you are more likely to become one of the said claimants therefore your premium is increased because they think you are going to be in an accident the same as them ffs ( talk about being tied to the same brush or what !!!).
Then theres the market value of your car for a potential payout ?? Dont be fooled into thinking you paid £10k for your car thats what you will be offered if its written off WRONG .
If you do use comparison sites find the quote you think best fits your needs and dont just click Accept etc ring the broker direct and barter for a better price and if they dont play ball move onto the next one !! Dont forget at the end of the day they want your buisiness.
Dont try and withold that 3 points ya got for that speeding ticket or trust me they will try every legal angle to withdraw a claim and make it null and void on a technicality you have never heard of.
If you own a prized possesion like myself try specialist brokers who will assess and agree a valuation on your vehicle and its security measures in place to stop it being stolen etc.
Always be up front TRUST me from personal experience if they can find a way to not pay up on a claim they will !!!.
Anyway rant over and happy searching  (y)
