The 32 competing nations in the 2022 Cazoo World Cup of Darts have been confirmed ahead of June's tournament in Germany.

Taking place at the Eissporthalle in Frankfurt from June 16-19, the 12th staging of the World Cup will see two-player teams representing their countries across four days in a combination of Doubles and Singles matches.

Following one-year absences, New Zealand and Latvia will return to the 2022 line-up, while Switzerland will compete for the first time since 2018.

The 2021 event saw Peter Wright and John Henderson claim a second World Cup title for Scotland, with the duo set to defend their title this summer.

Former champions England, Netherlands and Wales will be among the eight seeded nations.

All 32 competing nations are listed below, with many nations having confirmed their two-player line-ups through various qualification events and criteria.

Nations whose players qualify via the PDC Order of Merit will see their line-ups confirmed on Monday May 30.

South Africa's Stefan Vermaak will make his World Cup debut alongside Devon Petersen after winning a qualifier earlier this year, while Artur Valle will link up once again with Diogo Portela for Brazil.

Youngsters Justin Hewitt and Craig Galliano qualified from Gibraltar, while Nándor Prés and Gergely Lakatos will represent Hungary for the first time after qualifying through the Hungarian Super League.

Vítor Jerónimo won the Open Caldas da Rainha to secure a place alongside Jose de Sousa for Portugal, while the top two-ranked DartPlayers New Zealand players, Ben Robb and Warren Parry, will represent their nation.

Italy's qualifiers were Guiseppe Di Rocco, Gabriel Rollo, while knockouts have also been staged across Asia for Japan (Tomoyo Goto & Toru Suzuki), Hong Kong (Lok Yin Lee & Ho Tung Ching), Singapore (Paul Lim & Harith Lim) and the Philippines (Lourence Ilagan & RJ Escaros).

The PDCNB rankings have been used to provide qualifying players for a handful of nations with PDC Tour Card Holders, with Darius Labanauskas joined by Mindaugas Barauskas for Lithuania, Madars Razma partnered by Nauris Gleglu for Latvia, Denmark's Vladimir Andersen playing alongside Andreas Toft Jörgensen and Finland's Marko Kantele competing with Aki Paavilainen.

Due to travel issues, China will not be competing in this year's event.

Michael van Gerwen has announced that he requires surgery for an arm injury and will miss June's Cazoo World Cup of Darts.

The Dutchman has enjoyed a strong first five months in 2022, winning three European Tour events and two Players Championships and finishing second in the Cazoo Premier League with three night wins.

However, Van Gerwen has revealed that he has been playing through the pain of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in his throwing arm whilst receiving treatment.

The injury will now require an operation, which Van Gerwen will undergo on Tuesday June 14 following the Cazoo Premier League Play-Offs in Berlin.

Van Gerwen will not compete in that week's Players Championship double-header in Niedernhausen or the World Cup of Darts from June 16-19, and will assess his recovery ahead of the Dutch Darts Masters at Amsterdam's Ziggo Dome later in the month.
