Channel resolutions

Is anyone able to shed some light why the resolutions for my channels change, it seems when watch I FTA channels they show as 1080 but non FTA channels downscale to 576?
My video settings are set as:-
Video output: HDMI
Automatic resolution: Disabled
Mode:1080i
Refresh rate: 50Hz

Because the Sly channels are no longer available to us as HD via Sat only SD. If you are on cable you would get HD still.
 
Not for Sly channels on sat, afraid not. Unless your TV can upscale but you still only get 576 from the box.
