No professional sport, even behind closed doors, will be staged in England until 1 June at the earliest, the UK government has announced.

The government has published a 50-page guidance document detailing how England will begin to ease lockdown measures.

Step two of that plan - which will not be allowed to start before 1 June - includes "permitting cultural and sporting events to take place behind closed doors for broadcast, while avoiding the risk of large-scale social contact".

The document states that reopening venues that attract large crowds such as sports stadia "may only be fully possible significantly later depending on the reduction in numbers of infections

Depending what happens in Germany regarding football which btw I can see being cancelled if infections keep rising.

Which will affect sports here and everywhere.

So 1st June wont be realistic imo.

Covid-19 social distances of 2 metres to be maintained in the workplace, dunno how they're adhering to that when "work" is a contact sport... all about the money.

Of course its about money what else will it be about for these clueless puppets in charge.

Makes no sense when you think about it with most sports because social distancing cant work what so ever.

MMA, Boxing, Football and other sports cant abide by such rules.

Can only see it going one way and that imo is with sport being completely cancelled for 2020.

With no vaccine puts everyone in danger especially now with these measures being eased.
