crossepg not working on new image

hi guys I setup a new image from scratch openpli 4.0 beta and I have autobouqets and skyskin tsmedia etc working fine but one thing I cant get to work is crossepg the version is 0.8.1 ive tried moving to the older one which is working fine on my other box but it just wont download anything any help would be appreciated ive set it up fine ive read elsewere to install libcurl which I have done aswell but crossepg still wont download anything is there anything anyone can suggest to try out as I have said everything else is working 100% only this I really want to get the the bottom of it
 
Not sure about Openpli, but most seem to prefer VIX images. Some are already set-up for you in the downloads section if you want to try one
 
i have had to use open cross for my epg as my xml failed to work on all my images on vix,just download it when its needed every 7 days.
 
Hi and thanks for your reply but can I state once more this problem only exists with the new open pli images I have tryed everything some suggest to install libcurl4 before anything else as open pli left this out but tryed that and still cross epg will NOT load but openvix etc all work fine straight away so if anyone comes accross a fix for this please post here thanks
