What's new

Daughter tested positive

my lad, 12yo, tested positive a week before I was due back from overseas,
his mum and 6yo sister were told to wait a week before getting tested as it may take that before they would show,
even tho I had antibodies I still needed a negative test to fly back to the UK, and then we all went for a test 7 days after I got back,
we all came back negative, and it didnt really seem to have any effect on our lad, he had a temp and was very lethargic for a few days,
but that was it, no worse than the flu for him tbh, luckily enough.

Spot on. It can take around 5 days from contracting to become infectious. My mum got it over Christmas but thankfully she was relatively unscathed by it. We got lucky as we'd seen her just over 48 hours earlier from her developing symptoms, which is the isolation period if you've been in contact with someone.

Wishing you and the fam all the best Mike.
