Son goes to a specialist school some of the other children would be very vulnerable to the virus so it is the responsible thing to do.Do kids not only get tested if they have symptoms, thats the way it should be.
Yeah your right, but its just a shame to have young kids go through the test, hope he is ok, and hopefully all comes back negative, for yous all, good luck.My

my lad, 12yo, tested positive a week before I was due back from overseas,
his mum and 6yo sister were told to wait a week before getting tested as it may take that before they would show,
Thanks mate. last time i saw my daughter was christmas eve when she dropped off the presents for the boys. We were pretty well socailly distanced anyway still better to be safe than sorry.Spot on. It can take around 5 days from contracting to become infectious. My mum got it over Christmas but thankfully she was relatively unscathed by it. We got lucky as we'd seen her just over 48 hours earlier from her developing symptoms, which is the isolation period if you've been in contact with someone.
Wishing you and the fam all the best Mike.
