Deleting Timers

Hi
can anyone give me any idea how to permanently delete recordings and timers from my ibox 2?
Ive deleted recorings by going into my media scanner and deleted timers by going into timer overview but for some reason my timers reset and recordings continue.
Appreciate any help.

ok you see your list of recordings when you view an item icon changes from green to yellow,then press to delete ------it goes to trash----then deleted items click on and all trash items are seen,then red-ok,red-ok until list is empty.= all gone now.

when box does a recording by timer press green and list for timer overview shows recordings that have been done and some as waiting,the older ones can be removed via blue button cleanup timers or something like that lol.

ok back to add more info timer recording is over,green button brings up list and there are 2 waiting and 1 done press blue button-cleanup--really delete completed timers? yes/no-yes now gone and exit out. forgot to say am on vix
