What's new

Delhi in Fire

And? Is English you’re first language? I only ask because I still can’t work out what you’re getting at. Maybe somethings been lost in translation.
You know you are wrong but think pedantics will see you through. stratospheric aerosol injection Is not what you said it was. Admit you're wrong Google fail

You suggested someone had got the wrong name for cloud seeding.
No, I was correcting someone for hinting that Chemtrails were responsible for the floods in Dubai, when it was in fact at least partially due to cloud seeding.
You suggesting the correct terminology was stratospheric aerosol injection .
I was telling you what the correct terminology is for what we conspiracy theorists call chemtrails, and the reason I did that is because if you type chemtrails into Google, all you’ll get is a long list of fact checks, whereas if you type in the correct term, you’ll see that they are in fact spraying the sky’s with particulates to reflect the sun’s rays (who needs Vitamin D anyway)

stratospheric aerosol injection aren't chem trails. You said they were. Chem trails are atmospheric not stratospheric. Be the bigger man eh? Saves people laughing at you andti realising that your winging it on Google. I know stratosphere and seeding to save the ozone like the back of my hand as since I've retired from the NASA project I've had time to do what I want . I've started running 5k a day , lifting 140kg clean and jerk and telling lies. Xx

The stratosphere is part of our atmosphere, but I know what you’re trying to get at. At least you now admit that chemtrails are real.

The stratosphere is only the second layer of our atmosphere, out of five in total and starts at around 39,000 feet, which most modern airliners can easily achieve. The Airbus A380 for example, can cruise at 43,000 feet and the Boeing 757, which came into service in 1983 has a service ceiling of 42,000 feet, so it’s not as if they’re spraying in outer space, which I’m sure is what you were thinking.

Here's my theory on the huge rise in conspiracy beliefs. The world is rapidly changing since the "information age" started - i.e the availability of the internet to the masses. Before the year 2000 there was nothing as widespread as it is now. Since 2007 onwards the rise of social media and people having smartphones has rapidly increased. Suddenly lots of people have a voice and lots of people are struggling to deal with a world that is rapidly changing to the one they grew up with. This is fear! They wish life was like the "old days". Lots of people read posts online from others giving very simple solutions to complex problems. These are not correct, but people will believe what they want to believe. Very few people do independent fact checking on what they read. Seems like critical thinking is a rare commodity. Bad spelling and grammar in a lot of these type of posts are red flags that the whole thing is bullshit - but people believe what they want to believe, or maybe they don't even notice the bad spelling or grammar (which is worrying).

2020 - Covid happens! Lockdowns are put in place and everyone is either working from home or not working at all. There are no sports events and there is very little to do. How many people just spent their days on the internet looking at posts by people giving them conspiracy theories about covid? I feel this has only amplified the madness. For me, people have been brainwashed by this.

If someone is trying to defend their beliefs then you should be able to show facts and figures to backup your statements. Everything should be up for debate, but you need evidence and I mean proper evidence. I'm always prepared to be wrong if someone can show me convincing evidence. A lot of the evidence that does get shown for mad theories are misspelt tweets or the most amateur of websites that pick and choose data that can be presented to back their argument, meanwhile missing key data that actually disproves their argument. Anyone can misuse data to back any argument, doesn't make it true!
