Dm800 hd dead

any ideas on this one?
I have a Dreambox DM800HD, its not mine but a friends. It just stopped working one day, the only thing that comes on is the ethernet lights on the back?
The things I have tried are as follows:

• I tried draining the power then holding the power button plug the power jack in, out then in again to put into boot mode
• Took out the tuner and tried powering without it in
• Cleaned the sim card and made sure it was correctly in place

But with no luck at all, any ideas before I give this back to him?

You probably have to flash it via null serial cable with dreamup m8.

I was thinking Dreamup wont pick it up without it being turned on (I havent tried it yet but should really be next step) I will report back later with an answer to this, Cheers 👍
