Do I need the sat cable connected for epg on xtream editor?

Can i remove the sat cable now that I am using IPTV via xtream editor?
Can a program like epg importer to get the epg info instead?

You can remove it but why remove it you still have the freeview channels with the sat cable. If your IPTV goes down at least you will still have some channels. You don't need the sat cable connected for epg importer or xtreme editor to work

As for epg importer getting it instead of xtreme editor then you will have to ask your provider. Person i am with i just run a script to put my channels on the box and then i go into epg importer and select the sources they have added eg us/can UK etc

I have internet access in every room but not sat cables.
So if i just disconnect it, it will carry on as normal without sat channels, or do i need epg importer for Xtream editor to work?
Does xtream editor import everything?

you need to disable the tuners on the box, as that will give you other problems
xe will download your channel list and download epg

thats all you need to do with iptv, as you cant change the order the same way as sat/cable

Hi there I'm new to this whole zgemma h2s box with 12months of iptv subscription I've tried getting hold of my provider to help me with getting the epg on xtream tv but haven't had a reply and was told there was always help if needed.
My question is how do I set up the epg on the xtream tv and can it be done threw xtream tv or do I have to download something off the internet and put it on the box, as I don't have a pc to do it only have a phone for internet access can it be done that way or threw the box itself

Hi.
If you want epg through a zgemma h2s you will need xtream-editor (from xtream-editor website) or a script from your provider. Xtream Editor is what most people seem to use.
You can use ftp apps to install the plugin via your phone. You will need to speak to your provider to see if they support It, if they do you will need to send them a code from the app to activate it. Once set up it will download epg, channels and set them up in your zgemma epg.
