docx opener

hi have got documents that are in docx format n need to open them
really appreciate any help with software to open this file.
free download would be great

What office do you have on your pc now ? you should be able to download a converter to open that document with word, the problem is after 2007 all word documents end with the .docx unless you tell it to save as an earlier office product.

They are Microsoft Word 2007 files and THIS will do it for you even if you don't have Office or Word installed.

if you have ms office you can download the ms office compatibility pack from microsoft to address this issue.i have office 2000 premium and it worked like a charm for me.
