does the openbox v8 have a media player

hi all new to this openbox business and could do with a bit of advice
my brother in law has a skybox f6 and he can play movies from a memory stick off his computer etc
i was going to buy a openbox v8 version as its suppose to be an updated version of the f5
does anyone know if it has the media player installed to play movies from stick
also is the f6 version better then the v8
there are that many versions its hard to keep up
any help would be appreciated
