have you tried running DOS box in Windows 7 32bit compatibility mode?

didn't think that option was available in W10?

yes it is, you need to open the file location folder then right click the program select properties and then look for the compatibility tab

No wories, it will have been down to the Windows 10 Pro setup, Dosbox was always designed to work on older versions of windows as a 32bit software, as your running W10 pro I assumed you had a 64bit setup
