The popular iphone jailbreaking tool balckra1n has been updated to RC version by Geohot. blackra1n RC2 supports jailbreaking of iPhone (2G,3G,3GS) and also iPod touch (1G,2G,3G) which is running the 3.12 firmware. Earlier you have seen the Pwnage tool used to jailbreak the iPhone 3.12 firmware. Blackra1n is know for its quickness in jailbreaking iphone. In short its a 30 second jailbreak iPhone tool.

cheers knot just a ipod touch for my son for crimbo,was a bitscared jailbreaking it,but this seems very easy even for me
 
your welcome Had - and anfield,not really that easy, have seen people running into problems with other easy to follow instructions.

Be careful with it! read and re-read the advice given with it and then look for tips and experiences from other people, don`t want you banjoing a new ipod touch before father crimbo! :)
 
This should not only jailbreak your iphone but also unlock it to any network so I believe.
Actually after you have done the jailbreak you have to Open up Cydia, and click on Manage,
then Sources,then edit, then Add, put in http//blackra1n.com, click add source,
let it refresh, in sources you will see blackra1n.com, click on it, select blacksn0w, install top right,
That should be it! I learned this the other day.

right everyone give me a clap i managed to jailbreak his ipod touch it was easy even for me ,so its time to put some free apps and games on for him thanks everyone for your guidence and help:):)(y)
