downloading problem

each time i download latest channel update (either off here or ajsat page ) when i try to open the file i just keep getting this message
"the archive is either in unknown format or damaged"
does anyone know what the problem is ?

just put it on memory stick
unless its not unzipped use winrar free down load

Are you sure it is in rar/zip format??
If it isn't, it doesn't have to be un zipped, just put it on the usb root.

Do me a favour. Put this file on USB directly, I can't quite make out from your picture, but it looks likr you have a .dbs file not a .rar file, which means iy is already unzipped.

Do as Wheelo says You do not need to open the file ( you would not be able to understand what is written in it) just transfer it to usb and load straight to box

just put file straight onto usb and it's 'bricked' another box !!!! doing my f**kin head in now .
