Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny has confirmed that he wants Richard Bruton to return to the party's frontbench.
Kenny & Bruton Leader seeks to bury hatchet
Mr Bruton was sacked as Deputy Leader and Finance Spokesperson last week after he said he had no confidence in Mr Kenny's leadership.
The new Fine Gael shadow cabinet team is expected to be named the week after next.
Mr Kenny's comments came as he prepares to travel to Stormont tomorrow to hold discussions with the Northern Secretary, Owen Patterson, and representatives of all of the main Northern Ireland political parties.
Fine Gael TDs Brian Hayes and Fergus O'Dowd, both of whom voted against Mr Kenny in last week's leadership contest, will accompany Mr Kenny on the trip.
