All I will say is my dad certainly doesn't support England in sports especially cricket 😂😂

No need to hold hands up. it's football, it's unpredictable to a certain extent, that's why it's so popular. We all have our own opinions on the game, some like to be entertained, some like to win trophies, some think supporting their local team is the thing to do etc. We are all different.
