Ethereum Mining - Best Platform/OS for 2022

Just wondering if I can get some opinions (if anyone has dabbled in it already) on the best platform or OS for mining ETH?

I've read some articles and watch videos on HiveOS but wondered if there was anything else better out there worth giving a try?

I don't know much about mining for any imaginary currency,
But,
I'd think the lightest 64bit OS available would be a good start so as to leave as much capacity as possible for the actual mining,
That would lean towards a Linux/Unix distro IMHO,
perhaps the easiest as a day to day useable OS may be Lubuntu, but there are a lot lighter terminal only ones available.
