ethernet problem

i know this is going to be simple to someone
i have a mag box cant connect to internet via ethernet cable but no problem via wi fi ?

have you tried a different cable incase its faulty?

you disabled the wifi,plugged cable in and rebooted router and box and check network settings.
Might be router blocking as might you have it on child safe stopping it connecting?
