F5 box dead, what options do i have

Folks my f5 wont power up at all. It was playing up for last 2 weeks where it didn't play vertical polarization channels properly. Whilst troubleshooting my mate accidentally put a different power supply on it. Now its not powering up at all. No dim 8 or whatever.
Is it worth trying to resurrect it by flashing it using rs232 null cable or shall I bin it. If latter is the advice. Can someone please suggest a decent replacement box. I bought the subscription online so have (i think) the line details.
Please also when suggesting the replacement box please recommend someone trustworhthy on TK who sells the box. I'd appreciate your assistance greatly in this matter.
 
Bin it.

For RS232 you usually get the red light showing but it won't boot. No light ? it's probably fried.

I have had a quick look at boxes availability and now i am even more confused. I have a n existing connection however i have not a clue what nline and cline is. What i want to buy this time is something more reliable than skybox f5 which will last sometime. Bieng able to record is a bonus and quite like the idea of a box which self tunes overnite. Looking to spend under £100. Please offer suggestions and also whether someone on TK sells these or i am better off buying on ebay/amazon.
