Fiat Ducato Airbag ECU

Hello and seasons greetings to all! We have a fiat Ducato camper and the airbag warning light has come on. Apparently its common (too common) and some say more likely after the engine has not been turned over for a while or after a cold spell. The ECU doesn't like a voltage drop in the battery or something to that effect. Have heard that the ECU can be re-coded if it's not completely fried, I would be grateful for any advice on this or anything to do with this issue. 😊

When you get warning lights on never assume what it is until you got the error codes read and might be cancelled or you did that already.

Thanks and I appreciate where you're coming from. The problem is so prevalent I'm afraid it's highly likely to be the ECU. The camper forums are packed with the same complaint and it's always the same. My brother in law has a fiat dealership and his first words were "you need a new ECU" but they're big bucks, and I'm concerned about it happening again and how to avoid it!
