Flickering/Glitching

Hi,

H2s running OpenATV 6.1

All channels, including FTA flicker randomly and also pixelate across the bottom half of the screen.....no freezing and signal strengh is high, BBC for example is always around 95-98%

Weired thing is though, my IPTV channels do the exact same thing.

1st I thought it may be a dish/wiring fault, but IPTV doesn't use the dish........then I though internet fault, but FTA doesn't use the internet.

I am completely stumped, any ideas?

could it be your tv rate/mode ? You haven't said what you are running on the box but if it's atv based press the menu button and select setup -> Video -> Basic Settings and try different mode sedttings, ie if its set to 1080i try 1080p - I have refresh rate set to multi but you may want to try it on 50 or 60 Hz.

I may be totally wrong

I'm just running Open ATV 6.1, no specific build etc. All I have on there is the plugins for EPG, Cacheflush, my C line, ABM and my IPTV script. Settings are on 1080p 50hz, but I only set it on that as thats what my IPTV provider advised. It's been on that for a while though, so I assumed that would not be the issue.

If the USB was going faulty would this cause it or the box overheating etc?

The only other things I can think of trying is a new HDMI cable or changing the HDMI port on the TV.

disable the tuners if only using iptv, remove any none essential plugins, remove the sat cables out of the rear of the box,

The missus still uses the tuners so she can record soaps etc and my iptv doesnt allow recording, so I will have to leave them in for now.

Plugins, I have deleted everything that I dont use.

there is the answer to ur problem, pretty much, and if u have a decent iptv provider you will have catch up tv so no need to record the soaps as they do it for you.

My IPTV provider offers catchup via other apps, so I can access it via my Fire TV, but you know how women are, that's too much hassle, she wants it all via the 1 method. I will try changing the TV rate settings, change HDMI cable etc and if all that fails I will probaly just switch to using catch-up, she will have to get used to it.......that's going to be fun telling her that!!
