Formula 1 calendar for the 2022 season

The Russian Formula 1 Grand Prix has been cancelled as a result of the invasion of Ukraine.

An F1 statement said it had been agreed at a meeting of stakeholders "that it is impossible to hold the Russian Grand Prix in the current circumstances".
It added that F1 was watching the ongoing situation in Ukraine "with sadness and shock and hopes for a swift and peaceful resolution".

The Russian Grand Prix was due to take place on 25 September in Sochi.

Sebastian Vettel has been ruled out of Sunday's Saudi Arabian Grand Prix due to Covid-19. The four-time world champion missed the season opener in Bahrain with the virus, and has failed to recover in time for this weekend's race. Vettel will again be replaced by Aston Martin's reserve driver Nico Hulkenberg.
 
Formula 1 is awaiting information from Saudi Arabian authorities on the cause of an explosion at an oil refinery near the Jeddah track.

Sebastian Vettel will return to the Formula 1 grid for the Australian GP after being cleared to race following his Covid enforced absence.

Vettel missed the first two races of the season in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia after testing positive for Covid before the season-opener.
