if you are using virgin broadband and have a Zgemma box, there's a VM cable goes to each of these.
I asked earlier about the splitter and you said you had none.
Can you explain how the zgemma and router are connected to the same single incoming VM cable?

Go on, you can say it, we already know.
What name is on it?

Could do with finding what power levels are first, he said a single VM cable connected to the box and now it turns out theres a VM router also attached, if the power levels are off, no amount of software updates will help, nor will anything to do with autobouquetsmaker or any other scans.
To the OP, if you are using VM broadband, check the power levels please as these are the first thing you need to check, if ok, you can then move onto other checks and move forward, if they are over/under what they should be, VM will need to adjust the signal
on the bottom of the router is a 'settings password' write it down
open a browser window on laptop and type 192.168.0.1, click enter
use that password to login to the router
click Advanced settings on the left, then tools>network status
this opens a new page, click Downstream tab at the top and it'll show all the data in a list
copy and paste it here
dbmv needs to be between -6 and 10
SNR needs to be close to 38 or higher, the higher the better, anything below 34.5 is terrible

OK I have 2 boxes vu solo se in front room and zgemma in back room no longer connected while I wait for new splitter.

coming in the house I have two cables . 1 goes to modem and other goes into vu solo .
on this I cannot get bbc1 or 2 or itv in hd. I have a variable attenuator that makes no difference.

hope this helps

they look fine but we can only see channels 1-14, if the other channels, 15 - 24 are similar then this rules out a signale issue, the power levels and SNr look fine, from what i can see

What is the problem?
A. Cannot get using manual scan (complete)
B. Cannot get using ABM
C. Can select channel but it is not viewable.

It is a signal issue. Check the other channels on the frequency that has the problematic services/channels.

Do not waste your time with ABM.

And post the screenshot of chanels 15 - 24 of the power levels, it's a possibilty, although unlikely that these are out but its looking like a duff splitter/cable to the box
