How can i get epg on freeview ive ran the scan with no joy or can u not get epg with freeview aeriel plugged in??

You don't need to download epg for freeview, just tune into a channel and it downloads automatically.

Go to settings>epg
Load/save/delete
Choose delete
Then reboot the box
Go to a freeview channel and wait until EPG loads

Make sure FreeView epg is enabled in EPG settings:
