freeview for kids

hi guys
After one of my old boxs for FTA channels for kids room ..
Do I need a wifi dongle & usb stick to run & store channel listings etc ?
As want it as simple & cost free as possibe ....

If not going to be recording then don't really need a usb or WiFi for freesat channels what box is it if a sat box connect lnb and run a scan on the box

Connect the lnbs go into abm then providers select which provider you want if freesat then set freesat to yes or sly UK to yes select your region greento save then run a scan

so epg will be stored on the box no usb stick need etc

They only have 256mb storage if was me I would use a 32gig USB and have time shift and recording setup but that's me

cool got a old 16 gig usb stick i'll stick that in ...
so wifi is not needed for epg then if so thats great..

You don't need internet for freeview/freesat epg.
I'd try it without usb unless you intend recording
I've just flashed my mates h2h on cable and his epg was fully populated and he's never owned a usb

epg will fit on internal memory so no usb required BUT if you start adding plugins and skins etc then as the internal memory fills you will start to get problems.

Personally for the sake of a few quid I would use a usb stick.

How old is the tv. A lot of tvs have a sat connection. Save you running another box
