Getting IPTV Channels Into H2S Normal Sat EPG?

adzyp

Newbie
Hi,

Im currently testing an IPTV service for 24 hours now that CS is potentially coming to an end.

One thing thats majorly important to me is having the EPG so I can browse through quite quickly and easily to see whats currently on.

The IPTV im using at the moment is through Xtream plugin, the only EPG it has is showing you the next 3 programs each time you move over the channel name, not a full list like you see on sat.

Is there anyway to combine the two so that for channels im missing on Sat (Sky sports news, sky atlantic etc.) i can access them from the normal EPG and load the channel as if i were watching it through sat?

Ask your provider if they can provide you with a script to install there IPTV service as bouquets

i've managed to create my own bouquet using the m3u file. Is there anyway to get the channel information in the EPG rather than it being blank?

There is but it will require copying the service info for every channel from a bouquet on your box and pasting it into the bouquet you created. It will only work with UK channels too.
Some people have been using e channelizer to do this. Not tried it myself as my provider uses proper bouquets, scripts and sources for USA and foreign channels so I have a pretty much complete EPG for iptv

My provider does not supply any script for epg for his iptv service that I have, any idea of provider's who would please.

I have been doing this for about 3 hours straight work over the last few days
I'm not using echannelizer.
I'm on Mac and using idreamx

I search for the channel copy the code and paste it in to the .tv

I'm wondering something similar.. currently running wooshbuild but wanna switch to iptv and use the epg tabs. I've ran the script and there'll all there fine but how can i stop the satellite tabs from showing up altogether so I'm left with essentially just iptv channels in the epg? I used epgimport for the iptv bouquets.
Cheers

I've been researching a way to use an autobouquet user file to redirect the EPG over to an IPTV channel which is on a different Bouquet.

Anyone else thinking anything similar? Means we could have one set of bouquets and have the channels either on Freeview, Sly (until they gone) and IPTV.

No I don't think it's possible I currently have a custommix to swap sat and one cable channels but that's only available because abm generates bouquets for both.

With IPTV every provider is different even down to naming channels so I wouldn't say it's possible to use a custommix or similar to do it for you

I was thinking his
You have your custom mix yea and it just mixes files from the sat and cable downloaded. Xml

If you made up a iptv xml with the data in the same fashion as the sky or cable one

Give then some random numbers
Then make a custom mix to mix the

Would that work. Or could it not read it as it doesn't download it

But as you say each person would have to do their own as they are all different

No I don't think it would work as the current sat and cable.xml files are in the abm providers folder but worth a try

A bit far fetched but if you was a provider you could just do it manually then once done all you're edits will be in the .tv files so you could upload the .tv files for people to download, but then you would have to keep updating the .tv files when transponders change plus you'll be leaving the end user with you're regional setup.

I've been doing it manually right now,
Greping the newly created iptv file for the channels i want.
using sed to replace the channels within the autobouquets generated userbouquet and making sure I grab the reference

Ends up looking like:

#SERVICE 1:0:1:151C:7E7:2:11A0000:0:0:0:http%3a//<url>/1280.ts:Sports 4 SD
#DESCRIPTION 404 Sports 4

and works inside the normal EPG with full listing etc.

Main problem I'm looking at is the picture freezing at the start of the stream (thinking this is just due to box) and also the automation, so I can have a list of channels which get automatically replaced using a cron.
